Summer's here, there are lots of fun things to do with your friends and family. It might be the best time to explore new things. Longer days and a tremendous amount of sun will boost your Vitamin D, serotonin, and mood. But what are you going to do with the summer heat that's ruining your vibe? Here are some cool ways to cool down yourself down and beat the heat!
1. Drink. Drink. Drink.
We sweat when it's hot and IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE. That's why we need to replace the moisture that we lose as we sweat. Make sure that you drink lots of water. Avoid drinking beverages that contain alcohol, caffeine, or lots of sugar, which are dehydrating. Why not try some smoothie? Maybe a Watermelon treat is the one for you.
2. Go to the Beach
Warm weather means it's a family beach day. Los Angeles is best known for its beautiful beaches. Take a dip into the ocean and enjoy your sunny day. You can also try learning how to surf, it's a good workout not only for you but also for your kids.
3. Enjoy Water Parks
Waterparks aren't just for kids, it can be for adults too. It's an enjoyable way to cool off and have fun. If you're looking for a day to relax by the water or chase a thrilling high-speed ride, you'll find it at a waterpark.
4. Go to a Live Show
Go watch a movie or even a live show. Most of these shows are in an air-conditioned location. It's a perfect way to spend the day in a cool place and still be entertained. You can even host your own private event, just set up a location and hire an entertainer.
5. Or maybe just Get an Ice Cream
It's the obvious solution for heat. Every city doesn't have a shortage of great creameries. In fact, Los Angeles has tons of ice cream shops lying around every neighborhood. Challenge yourself to a new experience and pick a random flavor that you haven't tried yet. Maybe it would be your next favorite ice cream, aside from chocolate of course.
